Islamabad is perhaps the only capital in the world that has a dense natural forest right inside it. Margallah Hills National Park (MHNP) covers around 17,000 hectares and includes Shakarparian and Rawal Lake and is located within Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT). The park is managed by the Islamabad Wildlife Management Board (IWMB).
