POPULATION SURVEYS

Margallah Hills National Park boasts a rich tapestry of life, including 600 plant species, 38 mammals, 250 birds, 32 reptiles, and 9 amphibians. Our annual population surveys provide crucial data to estimate the status of these species. This information is instrumental in shaping policies and strategies for their protection and conservation.

ISSUES BASED RESEARCH

MHNP faces a multitude of challenges, from invasive species to human-leopard conflicts, wildlife dispersal to urban areas, and sustainable resource management by the local community. Our Research & Planning section focuses on these issues and offers research-based solutions to address them. TRAINING AND CAPACITY BUILDING

Our dedicated team is committed to equipping park rangers with the knowledge and skills needed to protect Margallah Hills National Park. Rangers receive comprehensive training on the park’s diverse flora and fauna, systematic data collection, animal handling, and an in-depth understanding of the park’s ecology. This training empowers our rangers to be effective stewards of this natural treasure.
