On November 1, 2023, Pakistani group Second Chance Wildlife (SCW) assumed management and operations of the Margalla Rescue Center, located in Islamabad’s shuttered Old Zoo. SCW signed a collaboration and oversight Memorandum of Understanding with the Islamabad Wildlife Management Board (IWMB), under the auspices of the Ministry of Climate Change and the Environment.
